Frequently asked questions

Detailed answers about OMEVO, personalization with privacy, local memory, data access, GDPR, the EU AI Act, analytics, and support.

General

What is OMEVO?

OMEVO is a personal AI assistant for Android. It is designed to remember useful context over time, adapt to your needs, and make AI conversations feel less repetitive and more personal.

How is OMEVO different from other AI chat apps?

Most AI chat apps feel like they start from zero each time. OMEVO focuses on personalization with privacy. It can use useful memory and context to make future answers more relevant, while keeping the personalization memory on your device.

What does “AI that evolves with you” mean?

It means OMEVO can become more useful as it understands your preferences, recurring context, and useful details over time. The goal is an assistant that feels more aligned with you without forcing you to explain everything again and again.

What can I use OMEVO for?

You can use OMEVO for everyday questions, writing, brainstorming, planning, learning, organizing thoughts, continuing previous ideas, and getting more context-aware AI help.

Is OMEVO suitable for everyday personal use?

Yes. OMEVO is built for everyday use, especially when you want an AI assistant that can remember useful context and respond in a more personalized way over time.

Does OMEVO replace professional advice?

No. OMEVO is not a replacement for professional legal, medical, financial, security, or emergency advice. Important answers should always be reviewed and verified before you rely on them.

Can AI responses be wrong?

Yes. AI responses can be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or misunderstood. OMEVO is meant to assist you, not replace your own judgment or professional advice.

Should I verify important answers?

Yes. You should verify important answers, especially when the topic affects health, safety, money, legal rights, work decisions, security, or other high-impact situations.

What does “personalization with privacy” mean?

It means AI should become more personal and useful without making you give up control of your personal context. OMEVO is built around bringing personalization and privacy together, not treating privacy as the cost of personalization.

Availability and pricing

Is OMEVO free to use?

OMEVO is currently available as free early access on Android. Paid plans may be introduced later as the product grows.

Why is OMEVO free right now?

Personalization and memory

Why does OMEVO use memory?

OMEVO uses memory so the assistant can become more useful over time. Memory helps reduce repetition and allows OMEVO to respond with better context in future conversations.

What does OMEVO remember?

OMEVO focuses on useful context such as preferences, recurring details, and information that can make future answers more relevant. The goal is helpful personalization, not unnecessary data collection.

Does OMEVO remember everything I say?

No. OMEVO is designed to focus on useful context for personalization. It should not treat every message as something that needs to become long-term memory.

How does memory make OMEVO more useful?

Memory helps OMEVO understand your preferences and recurring context. For example, it can remember how you like answers, what you are working on, or details you may otherwise need to repeat.

Can I control what OMEVO remembers?

Yes. You can view your personalization memory, delete or reset it, and export your profile data. Editing memory directly is not currently supported.

Can I edit OMEVO’s memory?

Not currently. You can view memory, delete or reset memory, and export profile data, but direct memory editing is not currently supported.

Can I delete or reset OMEVO’s memory?

Yes. You can delete or reset your personalization memory from the app controls.

Can I export my profile data?

Yes. OMEVO supports profile data export so you can access the profile and memory-related data available to you.

What is the difference between chat history and personalization memory?

Chat history is stored in the backend so the app can show previous conversations and provide continuity. Personalization memory is stored on your Android device and is used to make future chats more relevant.

Where is my personalization memory stored?

Your personalization memory is stored locally on your Android device.

Can the app developer see my personalization memory?

No. The personalization memory used to personalize your experience is stored locally on your Android device, so it is not available for the developer to browse.

What happens to memory when I delete a conversation?

When you delete a conversation, the backend conversation is permanently deleted. Useful personalization memory can remain on your device so you do not lose personalization, unless you also delete or reset that memory.

Can I keep personalization while deleting old conversations?

Yes. OMEVO is designed so you can delete backend conversations while keeping useful personalization memory on your device, unless you choose to delete or reset memory as well.

Can OMEVO use old memories incorrectly?

It can happen that AI uses context imperfectly. Memory is meant to help OMEVO personalize responses, but you should still review important answers and reset memory if it no longer represents you correctly.

How does OMEVO avoid feeling invasive?

OMEVO’s approach is to keep personalization memory visible and manageable, and to store it locally on your device. The aim is useful personalization without making your personal context feel hidden or out of your control.

Privacy and data access

Can the developer see my conversations?

Conversations stored in the backend may be technically accessible to the service provider under limited and controlled circumstances, such as troubleshooting, security, legal obligations, or abuse investigation. Your personalization memory is stored on your device and is not available for the developer to browse.

Can the developer see my personal information?

If you include personal information in a backend-stored conversation, that information may exist in the conversation data. OMEVO is designed to reduce privacy exposure by keeping personalization memory on your device, but users should avoid entering sensitive information unless necessary.

If I write personal information in a chat, where is it stored?

Chat conversations are stored in the backend to provide chat history and continuity. Personalization memory extracted for future use is stored locally on your Android device.

Why does OMEVO store conversations in the backend?

OMEVO stores conversations in the backend so the app can provide chat history, continuity, account-level access, and reliable app functionality.

Where is OMEVO’s backend hosted?

OMEVO uses Google Cloud Platform in an EU region, along with Firebase and Supabase services.

Is my personalization memory stored in the cloud?

No. The personalization memory used by OMEVO is currently stored locally on your Android device.

Does OMEVO sell my data?

No. OMEVO does not sell your personal data.

Does OMEVO use my conversations for advertising?

No. OMEVO does not use your conversations for advertising.

Does OMEVO train AI models on my conversations?

No. OMEVO does not train AI models on user conversations.

Are my conversations shared with third-party AI providers?

Your messages may be processed by third-party AI providers to generate responses. OMEVO currently uses Google Gemini. Other providers such as OpenAI or Anthropic may be added later.

Which AI provider does OMEVO use?

OMEVO currently uses Google Gemini. In the future, OMEVO may add other AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar providers.

Why does OMEVO send messages to an AI provider?

OMEVO sends relevant prompts and context to an AI provider so the model can generate a response. Only relevant context should be sent for the task, not every stored memory for every message.

How long does OMEVO retain my conversations?

Conversations remain available for chat history until you delete them, delete your account, or a future retention rule applies. When you delete a conversation, it is permanently deleted from the backend.

What happens when I delete a conversation?

Deleted conversations are permanently removed from the app backend. Personalization memory stored on your device can remain unless you also choose to delete or reset it.

Can deleted conversations be recovered?

No. Deleted conversations are hard deleted permanently from the backend and are not intended to be recoverable.

What happens when I delete my account?

OMEVO supports account deletion. Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated backend data. Local data on your device may also need to be removed through app controls, device settings, or uninstalling the app, depending on your app version and device state.

Can I request deletion of my data?

Yes. You can use available app controls or contact privacy@omevo.ai for privacy and deletion requests.

How can I contact OMEVO about privacy?

For privacy questions or data requests, contact privacy@omevo.ai.
